The IAE celebrates Shanghai Airlines’ receiving of the 1st aircraft equipped with the V2500 engine

The IAE, International Aero Engines AG, celebrated Shanghai Airlines’ receiving of the 1st aircraft equipped with the V2500 engine on July 17th 2009. This Airbus A321 was delivered by the head of the assembly plant of Airbus in Hamburg Germany, marking the 1st delivery of the 10-aircraft order made by Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd. during the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK.

Weighing 22,000-33,000 pounds, the V2500-A5 has 7 different thrust specifications to provide the power systems for the Airbus’ A319, A310 and A321 series, as well as the A319 business jet. There are now more than 180 V2500 users in the world with over 5,500 in service or on confirmed order.
