Zhengzhou Airport passenger volume up 35%

Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport posted 2.36 million passengers in the first half of the year, higher by 35 percent compared to the same period last year. Cargo and mail throughput also reached 30,087 tons, up by 37 percent. Aircraft movements totaled 26,431 in the first half of the year with a daily flight movement of 145. The data makes Zhengzhou Airport one of the leading domestic airports in China. Last year, the airport handled 3.88 million passengers, 38 percent higher than the total 2005 volume of 2.8 million. It is expected that the airport will post a total passenger volume of 5 million this year.
