An international direct air route will be opened in February between Wuhan City and Cambodia to spur growth in tourism and aviation. A tourism and direct flight agreement was signed by Angkor Airways, Wuhan Tourism Bureau, Tianhe Airport Group and Wuhan’s seven international tourism agents. The new air route will have a flight distance of 3,000 km, with a flight time of about 3 hours and 45 minutes. An MD-83 aircraft will be used initially for the route which can carry 162 passengers. Wuhan will sign a series of agreements with Cambodia to establish ties, consulates and offices, and promote tourism products.
