Thales ATC Automation System ready for service in Anhui

Search

The Anhui Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) officially began using the Thales Air Traffic Control (ATC) Automation System on January 11th. The Thales ATC Automation System is a significant part of the Beijing-Hefei-Xiamen air route retrofit construction project undertaken by the Anhui ATMB, based on the requirements of the ATMB of the CAAC and the region’s East China ATMB office. The implementation of the new system was another measure adapted by Anhui following the successful setup of the Reduce Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM), radar control, and high altitude transfer in the area. The implementation of the new system will actively promote the integration of the area’s ATC operation. It will also further enhance the safety support capability of the Anhui ATMB in monitoring the air routes connecting Beijing, Hefei and Xiamen
