Aviation safety analysis meeting held

The East China Regional Administration under the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) held the East China Area Transport Aviation Safety Situation Analysis meeting on June 20.
The meeting was presided by Vice Director Shen Zejiang of the ECRA with Director Xia Xinghua and Vice Directors Xiao Liyuan and Guo Youhu, also of ECRA, attending the meeting. Among those at the meeting were general managers of airlines serving the East China area, officials in charge of safety, leaders from safety supervision departments, directors of supervision offices and chiefs of departments of ECRA. Director Liu Yajun of the Aviation Safety Office of the CAAC spoke on the current civil aviation safety situation in China and on how to ensure air transport safety. Guo also talked about the “Safety Situation Analysis and Handling Measures for Civil Aviation East China Transport Aviation So Far This Year.” He reviewed the aviation safety situation for the first half of the year, and analyzed transport aviation flight incidents this year. He said emergency safety measures were adopted by the CAAC after the Xiamen Airlines’ “6.12” incident. Guo also analyzed the main problems existing in the current transport aviation safety operation management. He presented nine plans for safety work for the second half of the year.
