Departure emergency drill held

Search

The Baiyun Airport held a departure emergency drill on July 15 as a follow-up to the anti-terrorist drill also held in July.
Ten flights of China Southern Airlines participated in the drill, which seeks to implement the safety and security requirements of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Central South Regional Administration. It was also held to examine the emergency security capability of the Baiyun Airport departure system during the Olympic Games and enhance safety consciousness and coordination among operating units of the airport. The drill consisted of a simulated breakdown of the background mainframe of the departure system or interruption of telecommunication system. An emergency backup system will be operated in case of emergency to avoid flight delays and passenger discomfort.
