Yulin Civil Airport’s Site Selection Gains Approval from the CAAC

On May 14th, the CAAC approved the selection of the site of the Yulin Civil Airport. In their report, the CAAC approved the use of Wangjiu as the building site of the airport. Wangjiu is located 21 kms straight from downtown Yulin. It is reported that the Yulin airport is designed according to 4C standards and will have the dimensions of a 4D airport. The phase I project covers an area of 2,300 acres, on which one 2,600 meters long and 45 meters wide runway, a terminal and other affiliated facilities will be built. Yulin airport will become a comprehensive transportation hub connecting the region’s airports, railways and highways.
