As seen from the General Aviation Oil Supply and Demand Forum held on May 15th, the oil supply for China’s general aviation urgently needs distribution control on the government level in order to optimize logistics distribution and supply channels. This integrated management is crucial to the healthy development of GA in China.
By the end of last year, China had 1,654 GA aircraft, which is less than 1% of the U.S. number and only 8% of Brazil’s, leaving a great potential for development. According to forecasts, China will have more than 7,000 GA aircrafts and 500 GA airports by 2020, creating a sharply increased demand for aviation oil.
The forum was hosted by the China Air Transport Association and co-organized by the China Aviation Oil Holding Company. Relevant departments of the CAAC, officials of the China Air Transport Association, and more than 50 GA company representatives attended the meeting.
