Hunan’s 6th Civil Airport Will Make its Test Flight in June or July

After two days of rigorous and detailed examination, Nanyue Airport's airfield, air traffic control and oil supply system passed the acceptance inspection smoothly. This is an important step for Nanyue Airport and means that Hunan's 6th civil airport will be born very soon. In the following steps, there will be inspections on the terminal project and the entire airport's construction. It is estimated that Nanyue Airport will make its test flight this June or July.

Nanyue Airport is regional airport with a reference code of 4C. The airport was designed to accommodate an annual 450 thousand people and 1,600 tons of mail and cargo. The airport is regarded as a key project for Hunan Province, and its construction was finished by the end of this April. The construction project includes a 2,600 meter long and 45 meter wide runway, one category B and four category C parking bays, airfield drainage and fire engineering, an airport highway, service vehicle lanes, and other projects.
