China’s 200th Civil Airport Commissioned

Heilongjiang Province’s 10th regional airport, the Fuyuan Dongji Airport, was commissioned on May 26th, cutting the distance from Harbin to Fuyuan down from 17.5 hours by train to 80 minutes by plane.

Fuyuan Airport is located 23 kms from Fuyuan County. With an airport reference code of 4C and 2,500 meter long runway, the airport is designed to accommodate an annual volume of 260 thousand passengers and 1,430 tons of mail and cargo by the year 2020. Fuyuan Airport is China’s 200th civil airport, the 11th airport in Heilongjiang Province, and the 21st airport in China’s northeast. So far, Heilongjiang Province maintains 11 civil airports, ranking No.4 in the nation along with Sichuan Province.
