According to reports from the CAIGA (China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co., Ltd.) North China Company, the Little Eagle 500 was granted type certification from the Aircraft Airworthiness Certification Department of the CAAC. This marks that the CAIGA North China Company wholly owns the design and manufacturing intellectual property of the Little Eagle. The Little Eagle is China’s first light GA aircraft entirely following the CCAR-23-R2 regulation on design, test and manufacturing.
It is reported that Little Eagle is a multi-purpose light aircraft independently developed by China, and that it is also one of the main models currently produced by the CAIGA North China Company. In order to meet ever increasing market demands and customers’ aircraft modification requirements, the ownership of the Type Certificate was transferred from AVIC to CAIGA North China Company on May 29, 2014.
