First General Aviation Airport in Wuxi Gains Approval

Airports play a crucial role in the development of general aviation. Not long ago, the first general aviation (GA) airport was approved to be constructed in the Qingyang County, Wuxi, Jiangsu.

General aviation (GA) consists of all civil aviation operations other than scheduled air transport services and non-scheduled air transport operations for charter or hire. The GA airport to be constructed in Qingyang County will take up approximately 50 acres in which a runway for the takeoff and landing of small aircraft, an open apron, and an indoor hangar will be built. Flight training, aircraft maintenance, checks and repairs and other ground-based services will also be provided at the airport. Once constructed, the airport will mainly be used for public safety services, medical services, medevac and rescue, environmental protection, Lake Thai water monitoring, and ground-based operations, such as GA aircraft maintenance and inspection.,
