Chinese aviation enterprises maintained 1,519 GA aircrafts at the end of 2013

The 2013 National Aviation Development Statistical Bulletin issued by the CAAC revealed that there were a total of 591 thousand GA flight hours that year, showing an increase of 14.3% compared with the same period last year. Among them, industrial aviation operations completed 96.4 thousand flight hours, experiencing a 25% growth over last year; Agricultural and forestry aviation completed 34.1 thousand flight hours, experiencing a 7% growth over last year; and other GA operations completed 458.9 thousand flight hours, experiencing a 12.5% growth over last year.

By the end of 2013, there were 189 certified general aviation companies in China. Among them, 48 companies were located in North China, 39 companies in Central-southern China, 36 companies in eastern China, 20 companies in northeast China, 16 companies in the northwest, and 6 in the Xinjiang region.

By the end of 2013, China had 1,519 general aviation aircraft in total, 340 of which were training aircraft.
