The Jieyang Chaoshan Airport has passed its acceptance inspection, becoming Guangdong’s third international port airport following Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Shenzhen Bao’an Airport. From July 8th to 10th, the inspection team visited Chaoshan Airport to ensure its infrastructure and facilities were ready for international operations.
Jieyang Chaoshan Airport was originally designed as a domestic medium-sized airport and was put into commission on December 15th 2011. The airport is located in Jieyang Airport Economic Area and mainly serves eastern Guangdong and part of the southern Fujian area. In 2013, the airport served 202.6 thousand incoming and outgoing passengers.
