Feasibility Reports of Ankang’s New Airport Gain Approval from the NDRC

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) approved the feasibility reports of Ankang’s new airport.

The location of the new airport is 15 km away from Hanbin District of Ankang city. The new airport is planned to accommodate an annual volume of 300 thousands passengers. The terminal will cover an area of 5,500 square meters, and the runway will stretch 2,600 meters, making it capable of operating the A320 and other medium size airplanes. Construction will begin next year, with the airport being put into use in 2019.
